Peas are big source of protein and they taste good. My kids love this recipe , keep it in the fridge and serve the peas on top of rice in a thermal food container for school lunch.

2 ½ cups of frozen organic peas

1 onion diced

¼ oz. ground organic beef

1 tbs tomato paste

1 carrot diced

1 small yellow potato diced

1 tbs extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt

Black pepper

3 cups of water


In a deep pot stir the onions in olive oil on slow heat until they are soft. Add the ground beef and stir until the meat is cooked and the water evaporates. Add in the tomato paste and stir it another minute. Add the water, potato and carrot and cook until the potatoes are soft. Then add in the peas and cook another 15-20 min until all vegetables are soft. Serve with rice. Buon Apetite
